Traditionally I'm more a girl for conventional pairings. I couldn't bring myself to read non-con pairing in the Buffy fandom (oh well, who am I kidding, I mostly read only Spuffy) and I wasn't interested enough in other fandoms to even start reading uncon pairings (well at least if you consider House/Cuddy conventional..)

But alas the Inuyasha fandom might be the big exception as I've started to dive fully into the uncon fictions. I still enjoy a good written Inu/Kag but there are also quite a lot very very good written uncon fics out there. For example:

Lessons by horridporrid

A completed ten chapter Miroku/Kagome piece wonderfully paced with just the exact amount of backside groping to be believable.

Time by Elementary Magpie
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2364291/1/

Also completed, ten chapters long and Miroku/Kagome. It takes a very interesting view on the whole paradox thing that occurs with time traveling and let's not forget Narakus kinda unusual appearance.

well, with Ballack going to Chelsea perhaps he can show them how to shoot penalties?
England was clearly the better team with better chances throughout the game, but they should have known that they suck at penalty shootings...

who would have thought it? the last match against italy was in march 4:1 for italy and I really really believe we're going to make it...
Also this was by far the best world cup I've ever watched. Nearly all teams that have made it so far had earned it (well besides ukraine that is). I wished there would have been somme more teams still in, like australia or spain (or argentina, althought after their unfair attack against celebrating german players I hope some consequences will follow...).
I'm just very very happy to not be english this moment (what the f.. thought Rooney attacking the other player with the ref standing just besides him? Althought the ref seems to like the portugese (?) team a little bit to much.)
Some minutes left...

(Oh and me and my better half decided to no go on vacation this year, but to the maledives the coming winter *happyhappyhappy*)

Germany's not as bad as I've thought it would be in the beginning. Still our defense is pretty much non existent...
But still, we had two amazing goals out of it and they were rather beautiful to watch. I also adore cote d'ivore or Elfenbeinküste in german (what's the englisch name?). I think in the end it should have been at least a tie, they clearly were the better team in the second half. But since Argentina is one of the favorites for world cup winner and they nearly beat them they still have plenty chances to reach the next round.
Today the czechs are playing against the US. This could be really entertaining so I'm going home earlier to watch the game. Actually I think the US have gotten the group of death what with italy, czech republic and ghana in it, the germans will have it much more easier...

Changed my icon accordingly to the soon to be starting worldcup here in germany. Actually I live in a Worldcup city (Leipzig) and we even have some very interesting games (e.g. Iran : Angola), but I'm not going to one of them because I wasn't keen on sharing all my personal and private details with the FIFA. Still, I'm probably going to watch the games on our market place which will be just as great if not greater then being in the stadium. The last time we had a really big football (soccer!) game was during the Confed Cup and boy that was one hot game (germany : mexico)!

My fav teams: Czech Republic, France (Zinedine Zidane!), Japan and because I probably can't help it in a mass of germany-fans I also will hope a little bit for them. We really are a tournament team, we play mediocre to bad in the time between tournaments but usually we do really really well if it comes to the actual contest. Although we weren't able to win against one of the big football nations for 6 years... We will see how it goes this time. At least our playing style has muchly improved since Klinsmann became our new coach, so I will very much enjoy to watch them.

"I read a report today on Whedonverse.com about the Tabula Rasa convention in Australia this weekend. A con-goer reported that during a Q&A with David Fury, he said that both Joss and the WB want to do Buffy/Angel movies, but that legalities and financing have to be worked out and it wouldn't happen until after Joss is finished with Serenity.
That still doesn't mean it will happen, of course, but add that to some recent comments by David Janollari (WB head) and JW, and it's more promising than anything else I've heard.
Fury also said that a Spike-Illyria movie was the most likely to happen. And possibly a Faith movie.
I also read a day or two ago that Amy Acker supposedly told some con-goers that Joss had talked to her a couple of weeks ago about doing a movie, but I haven't seen that actually confirmed anywhere. If that were the case, I'd expect to see more buzz about it, so I'm not sure she really said it.
But if she did...whoo-hoo!"

Just read in [info]annapurna_2s Journal.
I don't dare to hope this could be true, because my two fav characters from both shows in one movie? I mean it's JW and WB it just can't happen, there's like a universal law that they will never do what you wish they would...
Argh...

Jul. 1st, 2005 @ 09:00 pm ideas...I want one... you've got them?
I've got about three pieces for [info]summer_of_spike done. One Spuffy (kinda) and two Spawns inspired by [info]curiouswombat...
I'm hoping to make one of Spike only and another Spuffy whenever my avi screenshot-maker program works again, because I need special scenes I couldn't find online...
But there's still a lot time left until posting date, so... anyone any ideas what I could make another pic of? Any fav scene, pairing or something else about Spike you would like to see?

Uhm, yeah.. I'm still alive...
Just busy with the new job and everything. I've now got my diploma and am currently working on my doctorate...

Besides that I've managed to make three pieces for the [info]watchersdiaries Art-a-thon Reversed.
Authors can choose which of the posted pics here inspires them enought to write a story. The banners and wallpapers are all gorgeous so come and join!
And thank to [info]deathisyourart for this great idea!

Considering that this was the first time I manipped, used Gimp and did something for the Buffy-fandom, it was kinda easy and I've learned a lot. I've also signed up for [info]summer_of_spike - Season 2, hosted by [info]canadia_bit, and will make some more art. I've already got two ideas...

Oh yeah, and the Doctor-Who final ... Guh ... best final ever ... I hated Chosen, I loved Not Fade Away, I adored Parting of the Ways ...

New Years Meme shamelessly stolen from [info]evenstar_estel

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
Visit Crete, had my final exams ever (at least within biochemistry since I think about studying some semester medicine too)

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Hadn't any, I promised I'll be nicer to the bf since I was very bitchy this year due to extreme stress...

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, friends of us. They live only a block away and married before. They now have a beautiful baby-boy. I'm slightly greeny-eyed, don't tell the bf ^.~

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, but the mum of one of my closests friends became a very bad cancer.. they still fear for her life...

5. What countries did you visit?
poland, austria, greek, spain, and czech republic and within the next month netherlands

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
time, a job, money... I never had a lot but I fear I won't find a job or better a place were I can make my doctor. Starting yesterday germany shortened (now about: 331euro/person) the income for everyone depending on social systems. That includes my parents. They worked hard all there life and it makes me sad and angry that now they will have nearly no money to live and that I can't help them...

7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Probably the last week of december when I watched the news and saw the first pics of the Tsunamis.. I'm still to shocked about the daily increasing numbers of death people and I wish I could do more then donate money.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Probably taking my final diploma exams although I think I did ok it's well within the middle field and I don't have hopes for any stipendium...

9. What was your biggest failure?
besides being shitty to the bf, that my final exams weren't good enough to give my future more security (and that some of the worst students I ever knew did better then me because they shamelessly flirted with the profs assistent...)

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
the first two weeks of decemeber I was ill nearly all the time with high fever (which is a very bad thing for me) and I couldn't speak most of the time.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
new pair of shoes.. I love them, I wear them all the time, oh and hopefully the christmas present I got for the bf.. he seemed to like it ^.^

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
All the people that helped within the tsunami crisis and all the people around the world who donated money, sometimes although they don't have much themselves. All the american people that did their best to support anti-bush in the election.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
George Walker Bush

14. Where did most of your money go?
Rent

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Olympic Games

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
Mad World by Michael Andrews

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? both, personally I am happier but I'm sad because of things happening all over the world (like iraq and tsunamis..)
ii. thinner or fatter? thinner although I'm way under-weighted.. I should eat more...
iii. richer or poorer? poorer

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
being nice to the bf

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
being bitchy to the bf

20. How will you be spending New Year's Eve?
party at my home with the bf and a lot of our friends.. first party in our flat althoug we live here for over a year...

22. Did you fall in love in 2004?
counts re-falling for the bf?

23. How many one-night stands?
none...

24. What was your favorite TV program?
well... beside Buffy and Dark Angel reruns I highly enjoyed the first new Eps of LOST, CSI and Gilmore Girls...

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
hate is a strong word... it's more a 'I give a damn about these people' -> some of my co-students...

26. What was the best book you read?
Haven't had enough time to read this year, and mainly did fanfiction... Novels would be Dresden files by Jim Butcher, but I also enjoyed my big Voet, Biochemistry

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Scala and Juli (a italian children choir that covered some of the greatest ballads and a german band)

28. What did you want and get?
My exams

29.What did you want and not get?
a secured future

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
no time for cinema, but dl-ed Underworld and loved it!

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
23, we were on crete and rent a squad together with friends and the bf...

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
doing better in the exams, getting a good job

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
the less expensive the better...

34. What kept you sane?
the bf, my family, my friends and my cats

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
still JM, Johnny Depp and political some people here noone knows...

36. What political issue stirred you the most
the election and the war in iraq and the really bad social development in germany due to our government. I'm political very active and this year was full of disappointments for someone with my believings...

37. Who did you miss?
well, everyone since I had to much stress to be more with family, friends and the bf...

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Thomas, he's a Doktorant (don't know the english word, someone who currently works for his doctor grade..) in the same institute I am. He's funny, smart, chatty, helpful and very intelligent. Work wouldn't be the same without him...

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
Don't trust in people...

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:

That would be "Wir sind Wir" by Wolfsheim ["We are we"]. It's a song that covers the feelings of most east-germans, about how really nothing got better during the last fifteen years like we originally hoped, but everything just changed. But we shouldn't loose hope, we survived so far and we will do so in the future...

I wish you all a happy New Year! May the next be nicer to mankind...

Dec. 9th, 2004 @ 09:36 am Benefit Concert
www.sorryeverybody.com is holding a benefit concert in New York, Dec. 17th and 18th...
Admission is $6 and the money is going to blackboxvoting, code pink and the legal defense fund of the national lawyers guild.

Some may say being sorry isn't enough, some may say "Why should I be sorry I didn't vote him." but a benefit concert is a way to do something and not just to sit on the sidelines. You'll be able to speak with other people who share your opinion, your money will be useful to the cause and you'll even get great rock'n'roll out of it ^.^

Well, I've just watched The Mountain ep with JM in it-- God, that's a boring series. I'm relativly sure I would have never watched the thing without him being in it. That said, he was great as an actor and looked damn fine. I only didn't like the short hair.. makes him look older somehow.. But still a damn fine man, I just wish he would get better roles..

And while I'm at watching TV.. This weekend I've watched all the Lost eps I've dl-ed some time ago.. That's one intriguing series... And I'm proud to say until now I'm neither in the hate nor love Saywer/Jack camp. There are certain aspects I don't like of them both (like Saywers anarchistic attitude and Jacks authority crap) but it really didn't bother me in the end that much because I give a damn about who'll be stuck with Kate in the end because there are such a lot of great characters in one place. For example Sayid, formerly soldier in Saddams Republican guard and lost love-child of McGyver. And dude how do I love Hurley! That has be one of the most original sidekicks there ever were! I also find me liking the Boone/Shannon thing (and here's hoping they're adopted or stepsibblings or something..) And Mira Furlan as Danielle? *B5fangirlsqeeee*
I could defintivly ship her with Sayid, wouldn't it be for lovely beautiful Nadja *sigh*...
And just how creepy can Locke get? And the backstory of the asian couple? Not what I would have suspected... That's probably what I love most about the show (at least until now): they have great characters going hand in hand with great storylines. It's funny, creppy, romantic, angsty and sexy in one wonderful hour-long package ^.^
